Upon arrival at our office, our staff will greet you and will request from you your completed health history form that was sent to you when you called our office to make your appointment. Dr. Asano will then do a comprehensive examination of the patient and discuss his preliminary diagnosis with you. If the patient is a candidate for orthodontics, he may request the taking of diagnostic records. These records may include X-rays, photographs of facial structure and teeth, and impressions for models to be made of the patient’s teeth. The examination and diagnostic records will enable Dr. Asano to design a specific treatment plan for the patient. Finally a consultation appointment for the following month will be scheduled. During the consultation Dr. Asano or his Administrative Assistant will offer a thorough explanation of the proposed treatment plan, the projected treatment time, the treatment fee and give you time to ask any questions that you may have. In many cases, we are able to combine this consultation appointment with the actual placement of retainers or braces to save you a trip to our office. All of this will be finalized with you at your first visit.
